Delay in Case processing because of Haiti Immigration

Hello,

I am new to Visa Journey and would like to know if there is anyone else whose case is being delayed due to the Haiti Immigration case that is being expedited at the moment? We have completed submission of all necessary documentation for our CR1 application to the NVC and my husband and I were just waiting for our case to be forwarded to the Manila US embassy so i can get my medical and interview appointment. It has been 6 weeks and up to this point, our papers have not left the NVC. Two weeks ago when we talked to the NVC operator, she apologized and told us our papers are complete but the backlog of the Haiti immigration has caused delays in alot of people's cases. Does anybody have the same dilemma?

Thanks!

I'm not sure if the delay is because of that, other people say it's because of the summertime (NVC ppl going on vacation perhaps), others say there is a presidential initiative to get old cases prioritizes, etc.

We're all gathering here:

My husband and I have been waiting since June 29th.
