I-134 question

So, I'm currently a deployed reservist soldier, trying to put together the paperwork for the Visa Interview.

I have plenty of pay stubs, but I can't get a letter from my employer, as my employment is ending soon. At home, I'm a law student, with a temporary job lined up at a law firm.

What forms do I need? Are paystubs and a letter from my bank enough?

Will you meet the income requirements with your temporary job that you have lined up? If not, will you have enough in savings to make up the difference x5?

Unless you have a significant amount of savings, I would recommend getting a co-sponsor. Make sure your consulate allows it (I know there are a couple that don't) and then compile all the financial info you can get on yourself (paystubs, tax returns, employer letter etc) as well as on your co-sponsor.

I've heard rumors that even if you make the requirements but you make them by a small margin they will sometimes still request that you get a co-sponsor so in this situation I'd say if at all possible, better to be safe than sorry!

Also, as for what forms and other stuff that you need, be sure to read the guides, the FAQs and check out the sample forms as well!

Best of luck on your journey! :luv:

Letters from employers are optional. Pay stubs are adequate. The I-134 is a "present tense" form. What is your CURRENT income? That means today. The day you sign the form. State it and document it, sign the form and date it within 90 days of the interview. Sleep well.

Future jobs do not count. Future jobs are not asked about.
