On both visajourney guides James's shortcuts and LingChe shortcut it say that your spouse needs to complete DS-230 part 1 and 2, but they both say for the spouse to not sign part 2, why is that?

sdw is right. you have to swear at the interview that all information given on the ds-230 form is right and then sign. I was asked who filled out my ds-230, i said I did and the lady said if i swear I have filled out everything correctly and agree to everything that is on the ds-230 form i can sign it now and handed it to me through the window... :)

yeah don't sign that part!!!! if you do you have to resubmit it without a sig.
