after the long wait, I am finally a married women and it feels great. Vegas was awesome even if we never put a cent in any slots lol. We had our small church service just outside of the strip and stayed a few days for a little bit of a honeymoon. Just waiting on a few little bits of paperwork and we will be ready to post out the AOS, hoping thats done within the week :)

Recieved SS card.. :dance: The day after you get the EAD go to the SS office and get the SS card in marriage name..Wait times vary..It depends on how long it takes USCIS to enter the info into the system..We waited about 13 days...

Yeh...basically everything is on hold until you receive the EAD card. You need the new SSN to add to bank accounts, mortgage, etc.

I think I entered the wrong number for the visa number, so we'll probably receive an RFE. There are so many numbers on the visa that I'm sure I entered the wrong one...keeping fingers crossed.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrr Mark...After all we've been through I would think you would have proof read everything 3 times before sending it in. We have all been at this almost a year now. :thumbs: I hope you are wrong.. :bonk:

As for me I am back to checking the USCIS website every day again for GC production date... :wacko:

Hi there! Tomorrow will be my AOS interview in Newark, NJ. Hubby is coming with me as required. I received my EAD card October 15 though it was approved October 5. Just finalizing needed documents for tomorrow and hoping it will be an easy interview.

I think this is good news! Hopefully your packet will be processed quickly and without an interview. That's what happened to us!

Still no EAD..

Don't worry -- we didn't hear anything about the EAD (even though many had received their EAD way before the green card), then suddenly we got a notice of approval for permanent residence AND the green card within 3 days of each other! I'm sure you'll hear some good news soon! :)
