Gita is a Hindu text. Ram is a character in another Hindu text. 'ji' is something we append to names to show respect. The Muslim kid thinks he's being insulting.
As you said, ji used as respect. I was using it in the sense that I was calling you teacher. Don't Indian kids add ji to name? If I wanted to be insulting I would've used something a bit more ... I don't know ... insulting ... like say ... monkey fvcker.
