I am really tensed regarding my husband's tax paper!!IRS found some mathematical error in his recent tax paper!!(that is 2009 tax paper)I am scared I might not able to carry his 2009 tax transcript during my interview!any suggestion what should I do?really wondering what to bring during my interview if the tax transcript for the most recent year is not in hand.I know they will ask for 2009 tax transcript during my interview as my husband didnt submit it in NVC.just have 2 weeks in hand and really dont know what to do!I dont want to get a blue slip during my interview saying 'missing documents".any suggestion what to carry instead of tax transcript during my interview??

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: China

there are two types of tax transcripts -

the 'long version' shows what is filed, and the 'short version' shows adjustments after the fact of filing.

I suggest you tell yer husband to get BOTH via fax, and then get them to you via DHL - tell him to review

http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=110571,00.html

and GET BOTH.

Good Luck !

My wife's a long way from the interview. But that's what I did. I ordered both of those transcripts from IRS for the past 3 years. You can order them through the phone via IVR. Don't even have to talk to anyone. And it takes only about a week to get the transcripts through the mail. If you aren't having them faxed. If you want them faxed, you might have to speak to an IRS person.

Hey, let me know of your progress and keep in touch. You're from the same country as me.

Did you submit your tax transcript of the year 2009 at interview time? I am in the same situation, IRS told me to wait 12-16 weeks to complete process if amended tax return. I guess i have to wait then..
