I am anticipating approval in the next month. My fiancee is attending college and the semester ends in late October. I heard you can wait up to four month before your fiancee needs to come over. Any idea where I can confirm that. It would be nice if she could finnish the semester.

Going through Manila, the waiting time for an interview date is of a few (5 to 6, according to this link: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...&cty=Manila ) months. After the visa is issued, then your fiance will have 6 months to use it.

Also, if you fill in your timeline, we'd be able to help you assess whether waiting for an approval for next month is realistic, in view of the backlog the service centers have been dealing with.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Okay. So... I guess you *could* get an approval by next month, but I wouldn't hold my breath. There's a chart on the USCISC forum with dates for all the VJers with their cases being processed at CSC. You may want to take a look at that so it gives you better idea of the timeframe. Good luck!

This may be good news considering your situation. They are more or less appoving now based on RFE return date. Although there are several who returned them in early July who have not yet gotten approvals, they *appear* to be currently approving those returned somewhere in mid-July. That means you could easily have another month if not more to wait, depending on what is going on at CSC these days. Either way, sounds like she'll have plenty of time to finish the semester - in your case, these delays in approvals could actually be a helpful thing!

Thanks for the information and web pages. That 5 to 6 month wait for the interview is especially helpful, because it is clear she is not coming hear after this semester, probably after next semester.
