id like to put this in a way na pinoy lang ang makakaintindi. by the way. I am engaged to a US citizen who is currently working at California as a nurse. she went their via fiancee visa din with her first hubby. and they divorced. afterwhich. bumalik siya sa pilipinas, but she already had her green card that time. she fell in love with another man dito sa pinas. and they got married here. but the marriage did not last.. to make the story short, naghiwalay sila after 4 days. and she went back to the states. she filed an annulment dito sa pinas. but up until now. on process parin ang annulement. .. i need your opinion about this guys, please help.. gusto namin dalawa magpakasal. but we know di pwede sa pilipinas kasi she still has her on going annulment process. ang tanong ko lang, pwede ba kami magpakasal sa states? can she get me here via fiancee visa para dun kami magpakasal? ive done some research about bigamy, kasi sbi ng mga nakausap ko , pwede daw kasuhan ang girlfriend ko ng bigamy if ever malaman. but i consulted a lawyer about the matter. ito yung sabi ng lawyer: the philippine law has no jurisdiction with US territories. and Bigamy according to him is a criminal offense, which means, that kung saan naganap ang crime, dapat doon i file ang case. however, kung dun kami magpapakasal sa states, Philippine law have no jurisdiction over the US territories so it would mean na di siya pwedeng kasuhan ng bigamy kasi wala namang bigamy na case sa US. ..guys. tama ba lahat ng mga info na nakalap ko? please let me know.. please i badlly need your help. we are about to process our fisancee visa by december 2010... and i dont want any problem to occur. .fyi: ung exhusbby niya dito sa pinas eh wala ng pakialam sa knya. its almost 9 years na silang walang contact. please please help me.. give me infos please.

Moved from Tourist Visa forum - which may be the correct forum - however, non-English is only allowed in the Regional forums so I have moved this thread to the Philippines Regional forum. If the OP wishes to repost her question in the Tourist Visa Forum she is welcome to do so in English.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Hi. dapat may court decision na ang annulment case niya. Di pa pwede magfile kasi one of the requirements for fiancee visa are the divorce / annulment papers of both parties. kung me hawak na kayong decision for the annulment case, so pwede na kayo mag file by dec. since US citizen na pala siya, pwede rin sana nag file siya ng divorce papers abroad, regarding sa marriage niya with second hubby here sa Phil. Di nga siya pwedeng kasuhan ng bigamy sa states, pero sa Phil laws, your marriage is null and void, since kasal pa siya na maituturing sa second hubby niya. the best thing is to fix the second marriage first, so later no problems na kayo. san nga pala na file yung annulment? pag sa QC ata matagal.

as per above's response, pwede naman mag file sya ng divorce dito sa US kahit sa Pilipinas kinasal, mas mabilis as far as i know... i have a friend, yung hubby nya na pinoy got married sa Pinas din prior to her but the marriage didnt work out... The hubby filed a divorce dito sa US... in order for her to petition you for a fiance visa, dapat pareho kayong free to marry..

Kung US citizen na siya, pwede na siya mag file ng divorce kahit sa Pilipinas kinasal. It's a good thing citizen na siya, kase kung GC holder lang, hindi pa pwede mag divorce kase she has to abide by the Philippine law.

And over 95% of members and readers here only speak and understand English. English is the language here and if you remember President Bush...he said immigrants must learn English oif they want to immigrate here. Can you imagine am American immigrating to say China nd demanding China to post everything there in Chinese and English!!!!!!

Anoras, since US citizen na ang fiancee mo, she can file for divorce and no need to file for annulment in the Philippines. Less hassle and less gastos pa.

This topic has been moved to Regional Forum where OP can write in a language he understands best.

There are thousands of Americans who live in the Philippines who do not speak Tagalog. We do not demand that they speak Tagalog just because they live there.

If you want the Best help in thjis forum Please write in English so you will ahve many many more readers able to understand and help you:help:

Maybe anoras87 is already getting the best advice because Taglish is the language he understands the best.

In case you haven't noticed, this is a privately-owned web site. The owners are free to make their own rules and that's exactly what they did. One of their rules is that native languages are allowed in the Regional Forum. So, as you can see, the percentage of people on this site or in this forum who speak English is irrelevant. English is not "the language here."

By the way, who cares what Bush said? Bush is a moron and a liar. And besides, Bush could barely speak English himself, let alone a foreign language. Bush also said that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. He also said that Iraq was trying to buy yellow-cake uranium. He also said that Saddam had links to Al Qaeda. He also said the metal tubes purchased by Iraq were for a nuclear reactor. I'll bet you believed all of that BS too.

Can you imagine am American immigrating to say China nd demanding China to post everything there in Chinese and English!!!!!!

Would you please point out posts in this thread where Filipinos who are immigrating to the U.S. are demanding that the United States post everything in Tagalog? Sheesh...:
