I filed my I-130 for my spouse on January 22, 2010 and received my receipt copy on Feb. 2, 2010 (after 2 weeks basically). However, it has been over 6 months already and I haven't gotten anything from USCIS until now. I called and asked last month (after the 5th month as supposedly the processing time on this type of case), and USCIS told me I have to wait for another 45 days for an answer.

My question is, has anyone here have the same time frame as mine? Also, is USCIS really taking responses for I-130's this slow? Whenever I called USCIS 800# to inquire about my case prior to the 5th month, they always told me to follow the processing time for I-130 as it is updated monthly. My case has been with them for over 6 months now and still with no response. This is just frustrating! I just can't wait to be with my husband once again. It feels as if I'm stuck here in CA simply because I can't go out of the country just because USCIS might suddenly send me a response when I am out of the country. I would also hate to miss anything from USCIS. This causes me to experiences a lot of STRESS and DISAPPOINTMENT! I just want my husband here in CA ASAP! I can't go on everyday not being with him and it's really tough emotionally. I hope someone here can give me an idea if they have received anything from USCIS already considering that we have the same processing time. Thank you!

Hi,

If I were you, I will call USCIS and ask to speak with a supervisor and then contact your congressman/woman and your senators to have their office follow up since your time frame has come and gone.

Good luck to you and will keep you in my prayers.

Thank you for posting something on my post here. I plan on waiting until the end of this month (July) and see what happens. If nothing still will be happening, then I'm going to do what you advised me to do. Thanks again for replying. I appreciate it a lot!

I pray for you too, if this happends to me, I would literally have heart attack or panic situation or worst nervous break down.....all togather would be HaPsNb... :bonk::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

THIS IS NOT RIGHT ..... USCIS is sleeping or working with the employee's or staff who doesn't have proper knowledge of their whole management system OR there is no FLOW OF WORK ... it's simply unacceptable ..... after paying 355 and other fee's on the way till visa interview.

Bull ****

Best luck to you.......Do as agynyame suggested......I agree with what he/she said......

I definitely agree with you! This is a big frustration on my part and believe it or not, I still don't have anything from them until now. In about 3 weeks from now, my application has been sitting with them for 7 months in total. This is just very very SAD! I wish they speed up their processing of I-130's because it seems like they slowed down their processing BIG TIME! So DISAPPOINTING!

Good luck!

I spoke with the USCIS representative and they kept on telling me that waiting for 6 months for an I-130 petition is in their "NORMAL PROCESSING TIME." Wow! It says differently on their website if they try to look at it. It indicates that I-130's processing time takes only 5 months overall. So why do I have to wait 7 months (in about 3 weeks from now) and not get anything from them at all? I even wrote to our senator here in California already but to no response. This is just way too much to handle for me! I can't take it anymore! I've cried almost every night hoping and praying that someone from the USCIS can take a look at my application and approve it already. I MISS MY HUSBAND SO MUCH! I just want him here...
