Help Please:). We still cannot get to the case status using the receipt number on the NOA1. I noticed that most people from CSC already have their biometrics date apprx 1 month out from when they received their Notice of Action. However, if that is true, we should be preparing for ours in the next two weeks, but we still don't have that letter and it has been 17 days. If I call USCIS they can't find it using the WAC**** number on the NOA1, so this is almost helpless. Should we be worried?

If you look towards the bottom of that same NOA1 you'll see it says that you won't be able to track your case using the receipt number. Instead you have to wait on the bio appointment and the number on that form will allow you access to your case progress online.

The time it takes to get a biometric appointment varies from case to case depending on how busy your local ACS office is. Your best bet is to wait and if you haven't received anything after 30-45 days give them a call.

Got the new WAC number, now I can check the case online, but still have to wait for the real Bio letter

Did you call USCIS to get the new WAC number? If so did you ask them too about when you should get your bio appointment?

Yes we called USCIS, they directed us to another department and my hubby gave his Alien # and Receipt Number and they provided another WAC*** which allowed us to see the case online. They said that the bio appt notice should come by July 30th, if not, we need to call them again.

O.k. good. As others have said as soon as you get the bio appointment letter in hand you can try going in for early biometrics. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that you get it soon.
