I would really appreciate any help I can get;

I have just finished a Masters in Marketing and have been offered a job by a friend in San diego.

I did not know how to start the process and after time researching visa info online, I identified the H1-B visa as my best visa option. Am I right to think this?

Also, we applied for the H1-B visa in February, through the i-129 form.

We have heard very little back from the immigration and wondering what is the process, i.e. how long will it take and how can I help the situation?

Thank you very much to anybody that can try and help my situation.

What does the Company's lawyer say?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

You have to file a petition and normally company lawyer takes care of this.

If I am not wrong there is a requirement as how big the company is in terms of its assest and employees.

To have lawyer is the best option when filing H1

Thank you very much for your replies.

In response, the company lawyer was consulted and approved.

My main concern is whether I have chosen the right route to obtaining the position I have been offered?

i.e. is the H1-B visa the best visa for my situation?

what , if any, other options are there?

Thank you

It is not your choice, it is your Employers.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
