I've been on a conference call since 6.45am. :(

nice.

i woke up late, got in to work late. no one else is here so no one knows. we have an off site meeting this afternoon so all the bums are "working from home" and plan to go straight there. over here, it's just me and the cio at the end of the hall.

I work from home every day, except for the rare occasions when I am in the London or New York offices. This is why I appear to be on VJ every waking moment of the day. I do a lot of time-shifting because my clients and associates are mostly based in the UK and Europe, with some in Australia and Japan and a few in the US. I tend to be up and on calls most days at 7 or 8am, then I work until 11, then I take a break until 6 or 7 and start again. It's a strange rhythm.

LoL, I love the emails that I get from people who claim they are working from home. They think that if they send a few emails out to people that it will justify their staying home and catching up on their DVR backlog

My ex-boss would always wink and tell me to go and "work from home" if I ever needed to take a day off.. hehe. He was the coolest boss ever.

I WFH once a week, I just happen to be in today. But my WFH day is usually Monday. I don't just pick a day I happen to have an afternoon off-site to WFH.

should i eat here when the caf opens at 11:30 or should i eat there? eating there means standing in long lines and maybe not getting anything decent by the time i get to the end of it. but it'll be free.

eating here means i can have anything my heart desires.

I hate you Val. mad.gif

If you want to do my 7.30am tomorrow, you're more than welcome!

I want a breakfast burrito. :(

I'll do it! It's been quite a transition, going from CFO to housewife, and I miss intimidating people and causing ruckuses at meetings. sad.gif

You're on your own for the breakfast burrito, though, I am out of tortillas.

Definitely eat here. I mean there. I mean...well, where you are. You can afford one measly lunch, on your salary!

Although I imagine it would be nice to work from home, I don't think I could do it. There are simply too many distractions.

Tell me about it. I have a cat that runs across my desk, and this week I have two rompy kittens too.

And it needs to be a burrito.

Yeah, I was like that at first. Eventually you get to the point where you realize the 'privilege' will be taken away if you don't get stuff done so you do it.

You forget, or perhaps I haven't mentioned it - I can be very cheap.
