His brain. Number one. He's a former university lecturer, and his brain is fearsome. But he never once belittled me, or was condescending. He pitch it just right and he made me feel beautiful and brainy. :)

Um, you ARE beautiful and brainy.

Not so brainy that I could get the tense of "pitch" correct above.

I'm living in Texas. That sounded perfectly correct in the local vernacular.

God help me what they do to the mother tongue.

But thank you for the compliment. Sometimes even beautiful and brainy girls need external validation.

But I'm sure you know that. ;)

I miss my dog. She thought I was the greatest thing ever. Gave me tonnes of validation. The cats - meh, I am simply the food-provider, kitty-litter-changer, love-when-we-feel-like-it woman. And I hate that the white cat wants love at 4 in the morning. Sigh. Even my husband isn't that demanding. laughing.gif

Yep, that's fanceh talk. You know what they do to fanceh-talkers, Val, in Texas?

Same thing they do to everything else here, either shoot it or ** it. helpsmilie.gif

That's hilarious that you sent us this in the middle of the date. Were you in the loo? PLEASE tell me you were in the loo. (I SO have visions of you and Bridget Jones right now. LOL)

Well, I just got home.star_smile.gif Second date on Tuesday night.

I especially like the 'just got home' part at that time of the morning...

 EXACTLY what I was thinking.

I'm tired :dead: I did NOT sleep well last night.

Bah. I HATE the not sleeping thing. It happens so much lately.

That's awesome. Did he realize how close he was to not meeting you? lol

Vernacular.

Now, that's a $5 word, right there!
