I hate flying to begin with, to say the very least. Terrorist attacks-or the threat of them- hit home because you could see the smoke of 9/11 from where I lived and it was my friends on rescue squads, etc. that went in for the call. This does not make me happy. At all.

Gosh! We are flying in 3 and 1/2 weeks time from Gatwick to Houston... I am sooooooooooooo scared! Hope everything will be fine!

The alerft is for every airport in the UK. I reckon Manchester is at very high alert with it being so important as well.... Tell them to make provisions for the fact that they are not allowing for hand luggage to be taken on the plane, not even handbags.

I am sure this will be over soon, but it will be good if you ask them to take some measures.

I couldn't help but to think of my children back home. Ian rang me this morning from work and asked me if I had been watching the news. I turned it on and saw the newbreak on CNN and couldn't believe it. I straight away called my ex and asked him if he had heard anything. There was something in the news last week I believe about them stopping a flight and having it turn around after 2 hours. It too was on its way to the US. My ex said he never heard about it over there. This is really frightening. Especially for those who have just been given their visas to go to the US, and for those of us who are getting closer. All I want is to see my children and this doesn't help the depression that I have already been going through with missing them. Not only that, but it just brings back 911 all over again. How do we protect ourselves if our governments can't???
