G-325a Help Emplyoment History

Hello all who have a chance to read this

I am going to file the G-325a but have a question about the Employment History

During the 5 year span, I was a Volunteer Missionary or Mormon Missionary, for 2 of those years. Do i put that in as a form of employment? IE: (Name and Address) Church of Jesus Christ (Occupation) Missionary (Time) 08/07-08/09

Or would i leave this part as Unemployed for the 2 year span?

I was NOT employed or on a payroll nor given any money for this. I was, however, given a fixed amount of support which is funded mainly by myself and does NOT have any kind of deductions such as Tax and what not.

Any advice would do. Thank you so much!!

Hi :)

Yes, you would state that you have been unemployed.

Are you submitting a I-485? If so, you would list your missionary service under Part 3, C.

Good luck :)

Thanks a lot. Saved me a headache I suppose haha.

The other question I have is for the Details on employment. Do I have to state the Full address as well because there is not enough room, I shortened it.

I believe so... As far as the I-485 goes. I haven't seen that in the CR-1 Guide but i'd just suppose that it was required.

The only other thing i dread is the Affidavit of Support... I was gone for 2 years so that's 2 years i wasn't making an income. My current job supports her and her child. I have been supporting them now while she waits.

I shortened the address of my workplace and had no issues. Good luck!

Hi,

No, the I-485 is not used in a CR1 application, the other poster must have confused you with someone applying for an adjustment of status.

As long as your current income supports your household of 3 at the current poverty guidelines at 125%, there should be no problem with the I-864.

Thanks trailmix. I had thought about that too, I currently make enough now and am supporting her and her child, my step-daughter on all needs in the Philippines... which isn't too bad considering the exchange rate, but when she gets here and is employed, there should not be any financial issues to bring her daughter here.
