My case was transferred to California Service center 6 months ago, but havent heard from USCIS since.

Case status on line is still "initial review", It's been 9months total since I submitted my application.

Is this normal?

I would make an infopass appointment or get your Congressman/Senators to make an inquiry on it.

01/2006 - Filed k1(1st time)

04/2006 - Interview (1st time) denied

Waited, waited...... no review

06/2009 - Filed k1 (2nd time)

09/2009 - NOA 2 approved

12/2009 - Interview (2nd time) APPROVED! VISA ISSUED

02/2010 - Arrived USA

04/2010 - Married

AOS Timeline

4/19/2010-Sent to Chicago Lockbox

4/26/2010-Received texts and emails 7th day

4/30/2010-Received NOA's(Hardcopies) 11th day

No,it is NOT normal. Don't wait anymore, schedule an infopass with your local office ASAP.

Yes it's not normal, coz my friend filed AOS end of march and transfered to CSC. Now she got her GC early this month.

My case was transfered to the CSC in Feb (5 months ago) and I have not heard from the USCIS since. I also have the same status of "initial review". My attorneys assured me that it can take this amount of time for an AOS application to be processed. I hope that I will be hearing something soon. Since there are people who have applied after us, and have a changed status or are recieving their GC before us...I plan on calling to check on my case since the closest infopass location to me is over an hour away. Hang in there. Best of Luck to you.

yes you can also contact the uscis to ask what is happening.

the NOA1 i think has a message on it saying to contact them if you do not hear anything after 5 or 6 months.

Im on the same boat and we just recently wrote our congressman to inquire about it on behalf of us and we're currently waiting for answers. Its a hassle for us to schedule an infopass because the closest office to us is 2 1/2hours away..calling them didnt really helped us. I guess we'll just keep our fingers crossed that our congressman can do something about it.

I called USCIS and asked about infopass. The lady told me that because I have a notice that my case was transferred to California office,

I cannot go to Philadelphia office (where I live) for infopass. She told me that the only thing I can do is to write a letter

to California office to inquire about my case.

I did it... now it's the same waiting game.
