I sent the 129f May 1st and recived the NOA 1 May 7. It has been a month and a half and I have not received any update notifications. When I look at the UCIS Case Status Web site it still says "Last Updated May 6".

1. What exactly does "Touch" mean and how will I be notified that my case is being updated?

2. If I have not heard or seen any updates or "Touch" in over a month and half should I be concerned and what can I do about it?

I am a little concerned because most of the timelines I look at have at least one "touch" within the first month.

Thank you for your help.

My case was never "registered as being touched" and it was approved. Sometimes cases are just approved without any recognition of a being "touched". And some cases are touched a various number of times. It varies; I guess it depends if the USCIS officer "actually" scans your documents or not.

our case was never "touched", after 3 months we received our NOA2. So nothing is wrong if you do not get a touch, you have to be patient.

Hi,

Our case was never "touched" before we were approved. It took us exactly 12 weeks to get approved. Good Luck!

Our case was never touched either, and it was 88 days from NOA1 to NOA2 in Vermont.

Call the office of your Congressman / woman, and ask to speak with their "immigration specialist'. Ask if they can assist with "moving your case through the system." It can not hurt, and occasionally, documents move more expeditiously after a call from the Congressman's office.

Good luck!
