Hi Everyone,

I recently applied for a 129F for my fiance at the Vermont Service Center. I checked my bank account a couple of days ago and the check had been cashed. I looked at the check and printed on the back in the signature area was my case number. So i went online to the USCIS website and clicked on the online case status. When i put in my number i was really surprised to see that it said Case Status: Approved. My question is, what stage of the process does this put me at? (1st NOA, 2nd NOA, etc...)

How do I know when the next step is going to be processed?

Also the mail is really slow where I live (It's University owned housing with a central post office, which means after its delivered it has to go through a whole other sort and delivery process which can take up to 2 weeks) What will I get in the mail that I will need to continue the process?

Thanks for any help!

Ben

Approved is NOA2

Your application will be forwarded to the NVC where it will be assigned a case number and then sent to the consulate where the visa interview will take place. You will get a letter from NVC once they have assigned the case number.

Just curious................when did you apply at VSC?

I wondered that too. I also wondered if perhaps he has the patience of a monk.

I am really curious-it seems most people are being approved in record time at Vermont lately-I do NOT have the patience of a monk-that's for sure ;) Still waiting for my noa2

Same stuff that everyone suggests, required forms, letters of intent, photos, e-mails, copies of plane tickets, etc... Don't know what caused mine to get processed so quickly, but its good because my fiance and I need this visa ASAP. It may be because my fiance is from Austria which has a relatively small volume of applications. Good luck with yours!

That is so true Peter Miami-I mean I am delighted when I hear people are approved but OH MY GOD 2 weeks??? I am on day 70 with no end in sight. No wonder I am miserable

I sent in all the required info & some extras to ensure we didn't get a RFE I honestly figured I would be approved straight away. I could scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
