Just curious...

Has anyone heard of an expedite request being successful through the MTL consulate?

Is it even possible? I've just been reading about other peeps expedite journeys and never came across any in regards to Montreal so I thought I'd ask.

Hope everyone's had a wonderful weekend!

I believe Inky was an expedite however it was military, pretty sure there were a couple of other people as well.

Agree - so far the only reason has been military, at least recently. no one's trying to be crusty, it's just that everyone wants it to be quicker of course :)

Yea was military - I tossed you an email.

I do have to say that not all military expedites are approved too. Just a handfull of them actually are. Generally its the ones where they are deploying to dangerous locations.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

For what it's worth...my expedite request was denied. I'm 23 weeks pregnant, and if they don't give me an interview date of late Aug. or earlier, I won't be able to fly the 3000 miles to Montreal. They do not care. They sent a letter in which they said that they are "working as fast as [they] can"--which only makes sense if they are badly short staffed...which is totally a solvable problem, imo.

My fiance is deployed and we requested an expedite and I guess it was denied... because it's been a month and a half and I haven't heard anything yet haha. However we did this based on suggestion from the person at the military hotline... and from what we've learned everything we were told was wrong anyways haha. He is currently on tour in Iraq and not about to leave so I assume that why it was not expedited.

Turns out he was extended on indefinite standby and now we don't know when he will even be home so I guess it's working out to USCIS plan in the end.

See profile for our K-1 Visa/AOS story from 2010-2011Apparently we love USCIS/NVC so much we left and are doing it again! This time giving IR-1 a whirl. Rock on immigrators.
