TRUE TRUE

The 1st day of the medical was surprisingly quick and easy eventho i went there SUPER early (cuz i thought i had to), and getting the packet there is hassle-free as long as you call the right people at the embassy (not the call center -- they know NOTHING!)...mine was forwarded practically hours after i called and i was even told that i can go to st luke's that afternoon if i wanted to :D and to think i was stressing over not getting that packet!

anyhow, i definitely recommend getting the medical out of the way early so you'll feel more relaxed by the time the interview date rolls around

rebelheart,

"is it ok, to bring my filled-up forms already with me??" It wont do any harm. I did bring mine as a security blanket.. but they really wont be getting it yet. Not on the first day anyway. As I recall, as has been previously posted in the past threads, you bring those forms during your interview. All you really need to bring is your passport, a black ballpen, payment for the medical and 2x2 pictures.

"i printed all the forms with details from my pc already, just need to signed it and write tha date on the last page... i wonder it is different from forms inside the packet????? " They should be the same...but to make sure, check if You downloaded the latest version of the forms.

re:photocopy of the appointment letter...there are lots of xerox copiers across the street. You can have the letter photocopied in a minute for 1 peso.

Hmmmm...I'm sorry but I would not know what the best time to go there would really be. I went there on a Friday at 11am and it worked out well for me. ;) Now this is just my 2 cents worth, you could go there between 10-11 am...the Monday morning rush would have hopefully been over by then...REleasing area only opens at 8am as per the sched listed on the packet I got...so I still think is such a waste of time to go in early...but that's just me :D I hate waiting too long.

What numbers did you dial to get embassy from USA and who or what extension? What number did you call to St. Lukes and is there a particular place or extension you ask for? Also could you give me the exact number to dial from USA? I get confused with the country codes. I think it starts like 011 63? but Iam not sure? Also, I have noticed that seems like interviews are scheduled about seven days before interview from what I have been reading here lately. I thought it was two weeks? So are they pretty accomdating if you want to take it a few days early?

HI everyone!!!

I went to SLEC this morning, left condo by 10am and arrive there 1030. went to window F to pickup my packet which i "called" last feb 13, but wat a "BUMMER" staff from embassy ive talked with, that he already made the request to pick it up so i gave him a week period of time for him to do. So i didnt get my packet but me & my son proceed with our medical exams and never follow their procedures, i did all the laband xray at once after i paid.

I asked SLEC staff if i need to call embassy again for my packet??? she said big "NO" they will col and asked them instead since im coming back tomorrow for our vaccines. BUT i dont believe anyone by then, so i called my fiance right then for him to call embassy in behalf of me dat someone promised me it gonna be delivered dat d packet will be delivered @ SLEC feb 20.

I was really pissed off, since im moody this week, my periods is coming. i did read the "asawa link" procedured they encountered. And was happy i never encountered Room #5 in physical exam, tho i went Room #7 but the doctor dont know how to smile. anyway done with medical. and off to go tmrow for our vaccine.

Just a question?? do we need to pay for vaccine again? just wondering since my son has alot to take vaccine and i dont wanna suprised by that i needed to pay more. also the immunization examiner doctor says my son need to take MMR 2 due to march 4, then i asked wer ill get here still here @ SLEC? she told me up to me, was thinking since i paid medical why dont they do so.... also march 4 is saturday...no SLEC.

thanks for the guides peeps .... hopefully embassy personnel saying truth now dat they sent my packet tomorow so i cud pick it up along with my medical results by 130pm.

regards 2 everyone

Ohhhhhh going to SLEC @ 10 or 11AM is not bad at all even for monday. theres really alot of people in line when u get up @ 5/F. but wen u knew wer u going to.... will make ur time be shortened. arrived there 1030am and finished my lab & xray by 12nn, other girls ive met in xray room was been there 430am but we had same time of getting our xray exams, so they were very very hungry in xray room, then we go lunch and i was called for PE by 230pm and get out 245pm.

the only thing messed up with me was the window F, didnt received my packet from releasing. so i need to signed a waiver. Also, they put a "MEMO - re: picture with my son PDS form, bcos my son picture in his passport was way too young to his looks now (he grows up so quickly). so they asked for 2 pics from him. and attached that small paper for memo. (just for info's).

Hey Rebel, Soulseeker, Purpledonkey and anyone else:

I have read carefully thru your experiences and seems like it works to go into medical around 10:30AM so far for Rebel and Soul Seeker and Jeeleebee also said it seemd a waste to go in early.

What a bummer Rebel to get there an no packet? But you perservered and got thru: congratulations.

I was just wondering about the Immunization part. Rebel mentioned that she had a "immunization doctor". So there is a separate doctor that goes over your immunization records? How does that work? Does this doctor take the your word for the shots you have had in past but can not show the records of that shot? If so do they give you some kind of official shot record that can be later used in USA as part of the AOS medical requirements? I agree with Rebel that it makes sense to St Lukes give you all the shots you need. I did hear about the MMR and that it needs a second dose MMR2. Does anyone know what kind of shots they give you during your exam? As far as anyone knows what is the purpose of St Lukes to send you out with all your shots??

thanks so much

first of all sorry for not being able to reply to your question rebelheart, i had a busy weekend and didnt have time to check out the forum

anyhow R&L, about the shots, i wasnt even asked what immunizations ive had, i was just told i'll get the MMR done when i come back for my second day...i think the doctor based that on my profile and answers to her questions (age, ever had chickenpox etc)...it was a pretty quick pit stop for the immunization history portion, dont worry about it. but if you have had shots as an adult or you can get a certification done without too much hassle by your doctor listing your immunization history then you can bring that along

anyhow after i got the MMR i got a piece of paper listing what other shots i need to get later, and MMR2 was crossed out so i guess that meant i didnt need it.

hi R & L , yes their a certain doctor assigned for ur immunization history interview. she never asked me about my old shots also, but she said the only vaccine i need are 2 (MMR- mumps, measles, rubella, Td) but Td (tetanus diptheria) is available only in US, so ill take MMR. as the process goes i was asked first were i want to take, so i said here since i paid medical fees.

Anyway, anyone for 1st day medical exams here? pls "SEARCH" a chickenpox scars dat u can show to the immunization doctor. She wants to see a proof, alot of girls ahead line with me, hard to show any, but for me i knew chicken pox scar vanished whenever u got it so young. even u reason out that she still given the shot. glad i had a small one my left cheek but the doctor still check on that if its a chicken pox or just a scar. or else when u come back to ur 2nd day for vaccination, she will be asked alot of times to show chicken pox scar.

Also, if someone got a baby book for their children bring it in but make sure should be signed by their pedia doctor. my son baby book was updated but no signs on previous since he had his shots in town clinic only, the only thing count in was his MMR last 1st week of feb that given by a private pedia doctor. Just giving info's becos it will lessen hardship for ur kids, had witnessed how my son reacted to vaccine, well its gonna really hurt for them.

regards
