IE8 has started putting a sidebar, with nothing in it, whenever I open a new window or tab. Does anyone know how to turn this off?

looks like your history tab was opened - have you tried clicking that X in the upper right of it?

Ok I was trouble shooting it per Charles suggestion of the History bar. Your Groove Folder Synchronization is selected under Explorer Bar under the Tools option. Deselect it and it should close.

Closing it with the "X" worked, but it still opened. Found it was the Google Side Bar. Found it under "Manage Add-ons" and disabled it there. Thanks for the suggestions :)
