Evidence of bona fide marriage with the I-130?

New member here!

My fiance (USC) and I are getting married next month. At the moment, we both live and work in London. So we intend to file at the Embassy here for a CR1 for me as soon as we are able to get certified copies of our marriage certificate. We estimate that we should be in a position to file the I-130 package by late July/early August this summer.

In the meantime, I've been doing some preliminary research and have found that the Visa Journey Wiki suggests we also send evidence of a bona fide marriage with the I-130. As opposed to the actual London Embassy site that clearly discourages people from sending anything that's not on their I-130 checklist with the justification that it will only delay processing.

Anyone who has recently applied in London (and preferably have had their I-130 approved), what documents did you have to send in with your initial (I-130) package?

I'm inclined to go with the Embassy's exact guidelines since it's them who will be looking at our application after all.

I don't know a thing about DCF, but following what the embassy says sounds good to me. I'm just posting to give you this link in the UK specific Wiki articles on DCF. I hope it helps. I think there are some active UK people in the DCF forum.

If they require any additional evidence they will send you a RFE, you don't know what they will want from you (maybe nothing) so just send what is required and wait to see if they ask for anything further.

I sent only what was on the checklist and got an RFE asking for letters from family/friends and another from my husband concerning a different issue. It sent the application back by a week, so it wasn't too bad.

Nich-Nick, the London wiki is really helpful - many thanks!! There was also a link there about interview reviews in London which were really interesting to read. Most of them went without any problem, which put my mind at ease a little bit. Although I'm jumping the gun here, we haven't even filed yet
