I was interviewed on May 18th and was given a paper that I passed the interview and it is recommended for approval. I know that this is a standard process. But does anyone know if someone get actually denied or subject to more interviews when it gets to IO supervisor for final approval? I am anxiously waiting for the oath letter.

The reason why I asked is that I got my green card under the 245i Life Act. At that time, there was a lot of gray areas and it took me awhile before I was approved for greencard. But I already passed that stage but still wondering if that will haunt me on this citizenship application.

The IO said the he does not see any problems but his supervisor may have further questions.

Congratulations!!!

IMO, I think that you are good to go. You wouldn't be recommended for approval if that was not already a concern.

From other members, I have seen people wait for around 1-2 months before they received their oath. If this takes long, you can contact USCIS and/or infopass and try to get more details.

The answer is yes. The supervisor may have more questions and if anything happens before the Oath ceremony (like arrests, convictions, being out of the country) you need to document those and show prove. At my oath ceremony someone was denied and taken out. Other people I know have seen the same thing.

If you don't leave the country for a time that might put you over the continous residency period (only happens if you have been out of the country a lot), or if you aren't found to actually be living outside the US etc or you didn't get any arrests or incidents like that then you generally will be fine.

There will be a spot on the form at the actual Oath ceremony where you will have to list things like that, that has occured since the interview. Remember until you actually are a citizen, you are under the same rules and regulations of a permenent resident and still must obey those rules as if you never applied for the N-400...
