Jesse Jackson once commented, “There is

nothing more painful for me at this stage in

my life than to walk down the street and hear

footsteps and start thinking about robbery—

then look around and see somebody white and

feel relieved.”

What? That's so stupid...

That tiger analogy is worse than anything I've come up with, ever

Sometimes I wonder how can you post on VisaJourney with a straight face. I mean this whole forum in infested with brown/black immigrants from all over the places. I'm noticing some negative tendencies in you. And I wonder how and why you post in Visa Journey. Racial profililng, immigrations, etc, are inherently locked together. What if your wife was a black Nigerian lady? What if you had fallen in love with such a person and brought her to America. How would you feel is she was profiled for being black?

Is this "profiling"? Some ppl!

Sometimes you have to look at the reality of a situation before decrying someone as a racist.

You can have no problem with a certain race and still see that a certain race is the leading problem in certain areas.

Um...I didn't call you racist. Even if you are one, I don't care really. Just asked you how you'd feel if your wife was black, which you suggest is a problem race, was discriminated against and profiled for her skin color.

The right answer is "I would feel bad if my wife or me or anyone was being profiled." Just copy 'n' paste this answer.

You've failed reading comprehension 101, perhaps? I made no attempt to define what is racial profiling.

He was illustrating a normal human response to the tiger. Everyone does some sort of profiling all the time.

I would necessarily feel bad. Most of my friends are hispanic and I don't feel bad about the illegal immigration legislation either.

Do I think profiling should be used as a 'singular' suspicion? No. Well, not in 'most' circumstances anyway.

Sure, but when they do it at the institutional level it's a bit different isn't it...

If a black cop is patrolling a black neighborhood and stops to talk to a bunch of black kids that are just standing around, is that profiling? Of course it is! Does the cop know these kids? has he arrested them before? Profiling is a viable way of weeding out. Can it be abused? Of course.

Do you live in a black neighborhood? If not why? If you dont you have basically discriminated the black area by choice. Doesnt make you a bad person.

I understand, but you can't make a comparison of a predator animal to another human being.

If a man was put in a room with you, the first thing we would do is analyse their body language to judge their disposition, prolly followed by stature and maybe age. You're not gonna think "Uh oh a black/white/hispanic/asian I had better get out of here fast!".

The question is whether profiling, separate from individual choice (which is why I referred to institutions) creates unfair social conditions for large numbers of people.

It is literally impossible to have everyone in a society think everything is fair.

More ridiculous nonsense. The poster who said this was unsuitable for this website is correct. it's nothing but an excuse to incite and promote misleading and misguided opinions.
