Hi -

We sent out packet a few weeks ago, and online it said NOA1 was sent on April 27. I have been out of the country, so haven't actually seen it yet. As I understand, it just tells us that the USCIS received our application, but I just wanted to confirm that it doesn't ask or require us to do or send anything else? Thanks so much.

Congratulations on completing the first leg of the Journey! The NOA1 is important for 1 reason, it contains your receipt number that you will use if you need to inquire with the government on the status of your case. It is also used when you use the USCIS website to see if there have been any touches to your case. I suggest when you get your receipt number that you go and sign up for case alerts. I just got my NOA2 after 6.5 months so sit back and wait this out. Good luck to you my friend!

Chris
