Cashiers Check or just a Regular Check

The instructions in form I-751 say that we can pay by check or a money order. There's no mention of cashiers check.

I read on the forum that a lot of folks have sent in the cashiers check.

With a regular checking account check, it's easy to know if when the check was cashed by DHS. I hope a regular check is good enough. Please comment.

Regular check is highly preferred by USCIS, with the added advantage for you that you know when it has been "cashed."

Majority of filers use personal checking accounts plus You can tell online when the check is cashed.

Isn't it funny how we get dissapointed when they don't cash the checks early. This is the one time that we actually pray for some people (uscis) to take our hard earned money and we are sad when they don't do it fast enough.

as others have stated, personal check is the best since it is acceptable and the fastest way of knowing that USCIS accepted the package.
