So i received the following email on 5/1/2010:

"On April 30, 2010, we ordered production of your new card" --> and this was the same for the online status

then, out of the blue, this morning i received this email "On May 10, 2010, we ordered production of your new card" huh.gif

I googled this and it seems like it happened to many people before..but I'm not sure if they ended up receiving two cards or just one. And if they received only one, when was it actually ordered?

Any experience?

i think updates are triggered manually and not automatically, so it depends on the officer that is handling your case.

I found the post about same thing happened to Okalian in AOS forumsmile.gif

Ok so my status for my I-765 was changed to 'On April 27 we ordered card production....' and i thought, yipee, and checking the timelines it looked like most people get theirs in about 10-14 days from that update....so...ive been waiting patiently expecting it to come any day....

Then today i get an identical update saying 'On May 11th we ordered card production.....'

So wth is going on? Was the first update incorrect, is this common? When will i get my damn EAD? Im stony broke here!!

Hi Forummates,

Whoa, what a relief!

That just happened to me - same two "Card productions ordered" emails and texts 26 hours apart.

Okalian, please keep us posted on what happened.

Did you ever receive "your case has been approved" email?

Thanks

I didn't receive an approval email, but I did receive a notice in the mail. In my case there has been 10 days between the 1st and 2nd card productions, so i dont know what they're up to!

And i haven't received anything yet! I'm waitinf until June 1st to infopass them. But i truly hope i receive the new card by then.

I think it takes around 2 weeks from the card production email until you receive the card... depending on where you live which determines how far the mail will travel.

As for the email - don't worry about the online status as long as you have the hard copy letter of approval!

It's been 3 weeks since the 1st notification, but alittle under 2 weeks since the 2nd one.

I really hope i get it soon blush.gif I don't need it it for a certain purpose at the moment, but it's for my peace of mind!
