To be quite honest , i am more nervous and stressed at the NVC stage than i was with USCIS... i keep seeing a rfe or delays in my mind.... you know , did i do this ,or that correct , did i sign everything and include enough? i'm about 6 miles past crazyville on all this process,,,,,,,,, i guess that is why i always cut my hair soooooo short , so i cant pull it out and see the new gray hairs from stress and sleepless nights.... i cant focus on work thinking the worst is going to happen to stop us at nvc...... please someone , i am really depressed on everything . really need to have a few Qs answered privately via PM.. anyone ?? :(:(

The anxiety is very normal during this process. Rest assured that you are not the only one.

I'm quite surprised that NVC stage is more stressful for you, though. It seems that you are breezing through this stage, as compared with USCIS. Also, it is great that NVC allows you to call and get updates with your case. USCIS doesn't really give any.

I'm not sure what questions you have, but I'll be happy to try and answer them. Hang in there...your journey is almost completed.

hello everyone,i just wanna stop to say hello first ,second im so depressed me and my littel boys cause im may filer and get my noa1 on 24 may and till now we didnt get our approve yet more than 5 months and 27 days ...offffff, my husband is lazy man and he and the lawyer consider it normal can i do anything from my country to find out what is the hell going on ?

You can't do much from your country but you can have your husband contact his senator or congressman as your case is over the 5month processing timeframe.

I don't know exactly what part of NVC caused you the most stress but I can understand a bit as I feel a bit nervous at this part too mostly because I want it to go well without any RFE's hoping that we get a good interview date, I feel nervous about putting that all together at the last minute (plane/hotel reservations helping husband with last plans for moving and his medical, interview etc.), but also excited to get to visit husband again, it's a lot of mixed emotions yet staying busy has helped me cope with some of the stress I keep telling myself it'll all work out somehow =), I hope you were able to find some peace of mind.

best wishes,

lol Jen I was looking your timeline and no wonder why you have no idea!!! if you received the number and the DS3032 the 4th it is way to fast, usually it takes 8 to 13 days from USCIS to NVC, so I would say you should wait but still it is weird you have not got the noa2, my husband got it 5 days after, I knew the approval because of the USCIS website, otherwise I would have relized the day we got the hard copy in the email.

How are things going? hope you get SIF and interview soon!! you have motivated people with this thread!!

If its comforting to you guys, my case got approved Oct 21, and I found that out by making an infopass luckily on oct 23rd. Since then the case went to NVC, I already sent in my IV and AOS on Friday - and till today no NOA 2. I am starting to think, they just done send the NOA2 and consider the CR1/IR1 visa as the completion may be ?

I checked the mail today and sure enough I got the NOA2 hardcopy, but it says duplicate notice on it and I'm thinking I even got approved earlier than NOV. 3 , but going to put NOV. 3 as the approval date because I know the date on this duplicate notice is totally wrong, it's really annoying because I wanted to keep my timelines as accurate as possible, but I just have to do with what info I have. I think what happened was that the previous NOA2's that got mailed probably got into the wrong mail or something and got sent back....anyways I'm just happy to have a hardcopy in hand now and I'll go fill in the timeline finally :bonk:

The AOS and IV was received by the NVC last monday nov. 15 so hopefully this week they'll start processing it, when I called friday they said it wasn't in the system yet and to give it another week.

Thanks for your support =)

That's great news Jen. I think you were approved the same day as mine or a couple of days before me. My AOS/DS 3032 kit was dated 11/4 but I didn't get the email until the 6th.

Well I know for sure that I was approved earlier since I got the NVC snail mail notice nov. 4 even though they sent a NOA2 notice nov 3, but I didn't even get that one the harcopy I got was dated nov. 15 as a duplicate notice. I guess I won't know for sure which date it was so my timeline will have to be a bit off I suppose.

WE GOT APPROVED!!

OMG hubby just checked the mail (my sons and I are visiting the US at the moment) and he got copies of our NOA2 which say we were approved on the 17th Nov. USCIS website still says 'RFE under review'. AT LAST!! Not sure what to do now lol, will they send me something to the UK which I need before we can proceed with NVC, or as we are using a lawyer, will they be able to send stuff to NVC? Please help!

Thanks to all for yr support
