Just out of curiosity, my Green Card got approved before my AP and EAD did, so of course, I no longer need AP or EAD. So, does USCIS administratively close these two cases since they know I no longer need them, or do they sit waiting to be adjudicated?

I found this thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/247928-green-card-in-hand-now-but-no-approval-notice-for-i-130-or-i-765/ that said that at least ONE person receive notice of approval of the EAD after getting the GC, but the majority (not that there were many) simply never heard anything.

It's an interesting point though. You would hope they would administratively close those or have a standard line on the AOS approval that says "EAD and AP applications have been administratively closed following your GC approval". or something like that just to stop us wondering.

Yeah...plus, if it was to be administratively closed, it would take those two cases 'out of the line' to be looked at, so it's not holding up anyone else.
