Hi VJers:

I am curious to hear stories by those of you who were scammed on-line by someone in the Philippines. My intention is not to embarrass anyone or disparage the Philippines (I am married to an extraordinary woman for the Philippines), but I would like to hear your stories. I personally learned a very hard lesson there at a particularly vulnerable point in my life and I would like to help others learn from my experience. I am happy to share my story if others would like to contribute theirs.

uhmmm its not my stories, but my friend's stories.. one man from UK met a woman in siquijor... this woman is already engaged to a white man but u know guys the UK man just went there in siquijor almost 3wks. ago and met her... :P

one white man went to cebu last year she met this young girl, working on an insurance company if i am not mistaken, then the white man discovered that this girl wants to have gimmicks, like goin to bars every night... and really love sex... when the white man returned to USA the girl called him up on his mobile and said.. she is not sure anymore and she will be goin to davao... but the white man have a very strong instinct that this woman will just meeting somebody... coz when he is in cebu, she asked the girl if the girl have other chatmates.. and the woman said none.. but when he looked at the contact list on her phone he saw 4-5 list of contact nos. in US.. :P

Well this happen to someone (white guy) I know in the net also. We were chatting once in a while and he was very excited about someone he met in the Philippines from which I remembered was living in Tagum City.. and he was asking me if I have any idea where the province is. He did told me that the girl was poor (typical story) and he was sending her some money to help. I asked him if he already seen the girl on cam, and he said "No". I thought it was so stupid of him to send some money without actually seeing the girl, and he said that he trust her :blink: :blink:. To cut the story short, he shared me the girl's pictures and to my surprised it was Juliana Palermo.. ( a sexy star in the Philippines.)

I simply asked him if the girl was being true to her, and he said he's definitely sure. The guy was being scammed big time so what I did, is I've sent him a link of a website with the same pictures on it. He was really furious and thank me for that..

If someone gets scammed on line then I say good job for the scammer.

My advice to any one looking for love in the Philippines is to hop on a plane and you will find all the woman you want. Philippines is like DisneyLand for adults, most Americans can have just about any girl they want in the Philippines.

An American got scammed by a Filipino homosexual. Poor guy didn't know that he's sending money to someone he thought was a lady.

So When I was introduced to one lady by a filipina friend of 22 years..her Niece I was happy to chat with her and after a couple months I started sending $25 -$50 a month to help on the Internet cafe bills.

This was against my friends advice; I thought a heck it is only $25.

When I went to meet her after 6 months of correspondence it was pleasant but not what it should be.

Things I learned

She she was supposed to be poor and unemployed but had more at least 17k-18k in peso on her each day.

She had a job alright she chatting with other men with web cam and not just showing her face.

Although we had a nice visit and she was friendly to me I knew she wasn't the one. Honesty is a big issue for me personally and I felt used besides that.

I did meet her cousin who was older but thought she was off limits because I was there to visit girl #1. After breaking off with girl #1 I told my friend I wasn't sure about chatting with anyone else although I did meet Josephine but it wouldn't be right if I started communicating with her. My friend said NO NO it is ok you were honest and just because girl #1 did not work it is ok to chat with Josephine.

I can not wait until the day she is here with me and we can be together forever. She is the one I miss each day I wake and the only woman I have ever known to totally captivate me 100%.

So yes I felt scammed but heck if I hadn't been I would not have met Josephine.

Oh well thats my scammed story sorry I got mushy at the end.

He's a transsexual so he still a guy. I've met a few transsexual who are really pretty, some would really have 23 inches waistline. I used to work in a bank in the Philippines and these people always shocked me when they presented their ID's and their name is actually Christopher or Dominador.

I think tallcoolone is right, meet the person first. There's a lot of people on the net who would really take advantage.
