Greencard "stamp" after approval of AOS/Infopass Appointment

My AOS was approved on 22 April and was advised to have go get and infopass appointment just in case an emergency comes up before I receive the actual card.

Unfortunately, an emergency did come up for me and I want and need to go out of the country ASAP. How soon did MOST of you get your GC??? Is it true you get it within a week or so? I'm thinking if I should have my passport stamped this week so I can go travel soon, but feel it might be a futile move if I'll get it within the week anyway.

Is the info-pass appointment for this stamping in anyway complicated??? Thanks.

25 January 2010: Concurrent filing of I-130, I-485, EAD and AP - sent via UPS overnight delivery to Chicago Lockbox

26 January 2010: Received by receptionist CHIBA at 8:30 AM/Received date on NOA

02 February 2010: Checked cashed/Notice date

05 February 2010: Received NOA's for I-130,I-485,I-131,I-130

13 February 2010: Received ASC Appointment Notice for Biometrics.

17 February 2010: Date of RFE for Federal Tax 1040/Received Text & Email confirmation

19 February 2010: Received RFE in mail

22 February 2010: Mailed Response to RFE via USPS Express mail

24 February 2010: Package delivered and received at Lee's Summit office

26 February 2010: Biometrics DONE/RFE Received-case processing resumed

17 March 2010: Email approval notifications - EAD & AP.

22 March 2010: Received AP by mail. Received interview schedule notice for 22 April.

22 April 2010: Greencard Approved :)

Removal of Conditions

24 January 2012: Sent I-751 petition via USPS Overnight

25 January 2012: Delivered at CSC, Receipt Date NOA1

27 January 2012: Checked cashed

30 January 2012: Received NOA in mail.

06 February 2012: Received Biometrics notice (dated 03 Feb)

02 March 2012: Biometrics appointment.

You have your AP, right? You can travel on that if you don't have your green card in hand.

The IO got my AP and EAD...

I got my GC today...so it was 11 days after the interview.

I have a flight scheduled for May second and I wasn't 100% sure that I will get it but it came today.I made an infopass appointment for April 30 just in case ...but I will cancel it now.

You should do the same thing...make an appointment and if don't receive your card within the next 9-12 days (that is what I saw for most of the applicants) you should go to them and get your passport stamped. I don't think that you'll have any problems since when you make the infopass you have an option saying something about needing proof of permanent residence.

04/19/2010 Welcome notice received (notice date 04/15/2010)

04/20/2010 Text msg case updated: 2nd card production ordered
