Been there done that.

Just keep chatting, keep talking and keep praying.

Know that when you're finally together, the pain will be forgotten.

Hang in there.

Good Luck!

Michael, Been there too! Not a very easy thing to go through!! The main thing that kept me from going bonkers was to keep myself busy at home. I started to get things prepared for their arrival months before they got here. I bought things for the house that they would need and got her on my cellphone plan. She already had the cellphone when she arrived.

Hang in there!!! This will go quicker for you once you get the NOA2. It will be all downhill from there. In the meantime, treat yourself with some new clothes or etc. Before you chat, take a walk to the park or take a motorcycle ride(If you have one). PM me if you would just like to talk!!! Danny

Yup...the waiting is h3ll. The only good thing about the waiting is that it makes it all that much sweeter when you are back in one another's arms again. ;)

In the meantime, you have things to do:

> Start focusing on your next round of paperwork.

> Locate the Filipino restaurants and markets in your area. Make a list of what brands she likes. Stock up on her favorites.

> Talk about what she will bring with her to the U.S.

> Start making her feel at home...send her photos of your place, your street, your neighborhood, and your town.

We just chat and talk on skype all the time. I know that the 6 months apart was less to me than this 2 1/2 months wait to get Mhay here. These last 2 weeks waiting seem to be the worst. At least during the week I am busy with my work. I will be busy through this week..the weekend...and next week.

Just hang in there, the time will come. Just remember, she misses as much if not more.

I know it sucks !

Our relationship was online in the beginning. Waiting 6 months to meet in person, then another 6 months before seeing each other again. After that, it was every 3 months for the year of 2009. I left him Jan.4 2010... so right now, should be my 3 month visit ... and I cant/wont because we have filed the K1. We try to look on the bright side here ... this is the home stretch .. this is the last thing we have to do so we can be together. That this time when I come to see him .. I never have to leave him again. Leaving really sucked.

Hang in there, keep in mind that the person waiting for us is worth it, and that when we can finaly be together that we ( the people in LDR ) know better than taking there partner for granted.

I really don't know how you all do it. The petitioning process was hard enough on us, and we lived here in the PI together for the last six months until we were approved...

Then again, you can look at it as a test of your relationship. What doesn't break you makes you stronger.

And it'll be all the better to see each other again when the time does come!

Good luck to everyone that is still waiting. You're in our thoughts.

17-Jan-10 - Filed K-1

26-Apr-10 - Approved

24-May-10 - Married

It was 16 months apart for us, from January 2008 when we married in the Philippines until May 2009 when she got here. We didnt see each other that entire time. I started right away getting busy, doing things to GET her here or for when she ALREADY would be here. I focused heavy on the paperwork. I would get her motivated to get her end of the process going and done ahead of schedule so we wouldnt panick in the end. I found out what to do to get her a drivers license, SS card, and whatever else she needed. I planned trips and other things for us to do together here once she arrived. I restored furniture for her for our bedroom, and bought other new furniture. I painted furniture, and inside a cabinet I even did things like made a heart with a paint brush and our initials in the heart and the date of when I did that. I worked a lot of overtime, wrote her a lot of letters, called her a lot. I tried to research everything I could about her daily life there, and special events so that I could be there with her in understanding and heart and spirit about all things in her life. But I still agonized with the seperation from her.

I love my wife so dearly...
