Postal Question

Here I am with another question. :-)

My fiancee needs to send me signed copies of the G-325a as well as her letter certifying the intent to marry.

We all know (or at least I've experienced) that the Ukrainian mail service is late when it is not non-existent. So, what is the best way for her to send these documents to me?

I see that she could use FedEx and, by my calculations, it would cost us $116 to mail the letter. Or she could use MEEST and it would cost $8 and the thing would arrive in 1-3 weeks. I've heard about MEEST from other places but have never used it. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks!!!!!

MEEST or Roxolana. But she could use any local Ukrainian post office just to order an express mail. And you will get during 10 working days.

She can send you it by registered mail and it will arrive fairly soon, but definitely secure. The mail service going into Ukraine is worse than leaving since most folks ship stuff directly from the post office. But the registered mail or Ukrainian equivalent is pretty good but slow at this end too. Registered mail has to be signed for every time it changes hands.

If saving $108 is such a big deal versus the assurance that the necessary documents will arrive in time and/or safely, then you ought to be rethinking the entire international relationship thing; there will be bigger costs in ther future. Personally we used only FedEx because it was painless and it worked and was quick. The cost was the least of the concerns for me.
