where did you hear that ? I have never purchased a ticket in the Philippines as long as I've lived here, I almost always go through Expedia the cheapest flight is Air China layover in Beijing 3 hours to either LAX or SFO for 594.00 USD

I know! It's irritating but if you go to Korean Air's website and punch in Manila as your starting point, you'll get that error message and it won't even let you price the ticket!

They actually fly 4 times a week, call this Lady her name is Connie, she is a Travel agent for PAL @ 7023845600 she can give you a good price and all the info you need, just be sure to tell her you want PAL.

Keep in mind that HAWAIIAN AIRLINES does the same thing.

Rhiz came into LAX, since we live in San Diego, it seemed the easiest. She had no problems at all, we through there in no time, pleasant experience, I was thinking it would be worse, but things were great for her. :dance:

This site has a $430 one-way PAL from Manila to LAX. It says immigrant visa "one time" fare. I wonder how strict they are on the "immigrant" IR vs the "non-immgrant" K? This outfit is located in Manila....anyone tried them? KInd of strange website....wonder if they're legit?

I wondered the same thing Johnny. I was thinking about having my wife go by there while she was in Manila but I think I've decided on the Hawaiian Air idea from Charlie (well, for this week anyway..lol). Every flight from Manila to Kansas works out to be within a couple of hundred bucks one way or another it seems. I just need to quit shopping

I too was intrigued at these low prices at a few travel agents, Bridges travel does the same thing to entice you to inquire but they then add taxes and fees and the prices usually end up being more then you can purchase direct from PAL or whom ever :/

Yea Kevin it's reputation precedes itself, allot of companies refuse to do Internet business in the Philippines due to the risk of fraud, some as a condition of contract only support fare pricing from flights originating in the US, if you call Korean air and explain you are using a US based credit card, thier policies change, sites like priceline,orbitz,travelocity etc. will not allow MNL as a first leg ...

I used onetravel.com to buy Mhay's ticket with no problems. they just needed to verify the charge on my card with me. You can book a ticket through expedia.... A LOT of sites advertise a price, but when you go to buy the ticket they add the taxes in. that's why expedia seems more expensive, but that is the final price with taxes.
