St. Lukes ran out of the varicella vaccine???

We just went through on the 14th, and they didn't even check her for scars. Just asked if she had chicken pox -- to which she replied yes -- and then moved on with it.

I can't imagine this would hold you up for too long. An unfortunate inconvenience, but I'd think they'll replenish their supply quickly given their relationship to the embassy.

Did she make it through the chest x-ray fine?

well they checked her scars but she can't remember if she's ever had the pox. I'm sure she has considering she has 11 siblings and they've all been to school. haha. I think she made it through the x-ray. we still don't have the results. we're on day 2 now

Well, good luck with the results. There were a few girls that came up positive and were sidelined "for several months," so we got a little nervous. But everything worked out fine.

I'm guessing that if she actually needed the vaccine and they didnt have it, they might either tell her to come back for it or just give her a waiver for it and she can get it in the US.

I have another question. St. Lukes said they forwarded everything to the embassy but she wasn't given the results....does that mean she passed her medical?

ALSO they took her passport and forwarded that to the embassy too...does she need the passport to enter the embassy? or will they give it to her during her interview?

Yep, sounds like she passed to me. They'll probably worry about any remaining vaccinations during the AOS stage. Good luck for the upcoming interview!!
