Ok, so Im pretty sure my PC's were still valid at my interview, but I have an aweful feeling that they have expired since then. I was stupid, and didnt check the dates after I sent them in with the other documents they requested at my interview. Does my interview "freeze" the date on them, or can they ask for renewed ones if theyve expired since my interview?

I hope not, getting a new one from SA takes forever.

If you mean the beneficiary, alas, it's soley UP to the ConOff that is reviewing the case, after interview day.

If he/she feels you need a new one, because the current one has expired, SOMEONE will be told about it. Somehow.

Thats what I feared. I am the beneficiary. I went for my interview in montreal, and for some DUMB reason only had copies of my PC's with me, so they requested the originals along with joint sponsors '08's and proof of our daughters US cit (CRBA). Ive sent all the docs in, I guess now I just have to hope that they wont get too sticky with me :(

Wasn't your original PCCs submitted to NVC? Why were you asked to provide originals at the interview as well?

12/07/2012: 10 year card production ordered.

09/25/2013: N-400 NOA1

10/16/2013: Biometrics completed

12/03/2013: Interview

12/20/2013: Oath ceremony

I dont know. It wasnt even on my letter that had my interview date on them to bring them. The CO in mtl just said that all he had was copies, and that I should have brought the originals in. Same with my joint sponsors '08 taxes. We asked the NVC many times if the financial stuff was ok, and they said yes. Im sure we sent those in too. Oh well. Im just going to have to wait and see.

I'm just going to start with getting a new south african one just in case.

It's weird - on the DS-230, there is original doc requirement.

Somehow, all that slipped with you, on the PCCs from SA. Don't know how/where/where/why, and I can't track it.

Let's just say it was all missed at NVC, on the PCCs, that original document thingie, for now.

In itself, it's an easy thing to fix.

In the cobwebs that resemble my brain, I remember something about you doing NVC Electronic Processing. If that's really true (IE - the cobwebs resemble fact) then you should be spanked for not remembering to bring all original documents on interview day - it's a frickin requirement. But hey - I'm not gonna spank you - Montreal has done that already, you've the welts to prove it. grrrrr.

You know that Montreal is lagged - so you submitted all on that 221(g) that you received, and ya gots to wait. I'm hoping you get lucky on the PCCs, really, with no further ####### required.

Your cobwebs serve you well Darnell. Ours was one of the first EP cases, and we had endless issues with it. As you say, all I can do is wait and hope that they realise Ive been fighting with this for 3 years, and really just want to go and be with my hubby and live a happy life forever after.

Lol!! because thats all I need, a vandalism charge put on the new PC they are going to request. Sitting here chewing my fingernails off, drinking my 10th cup of coffee, smoking my 8th pack of the day sounds like a much safer option :bonk:

All this, when I should have just adjusted my status after we got married.. Unfortunately, I wasnt aware of that option :(

I sent my passport back with the original documents.. Hoping it gave them the hint.."HERE IT IS, PUT THE F*#KING VISA IN IT!!"

Its been 5 weeks, I suspect I will hear back from them in about 3 more.
