True. Flash will be absolete. I saw the preview at Google in Mountain View, Ca on HTML5. It's like a new revolution for internet experience.

Will be obsolete. Future tense. Name one technology in existence today that won't be obsolete one day. You can't. A fate of eventual obsolescence is the one thing all technologies have in common, including Flash (and yes, including HTML5).

Today, however (present tense) Flash is quite ubiquitous. And in case you haven't noticed, the iPad is on sale today. Today as in present tense. It's not as if Mr. Jobs has invented a time machine allowing us to travel into the HTML5 future to use the iPad. He wants us to use it today. On today's Internet. It just doesn't work as well as it could had it supported Flash.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.
