Proof I Was In Ukraine?

I will be going to Ukraine on May 7th. I would like to know what all I can do while I'm there to help prove my case that I was actually in Ukraine for when I mail in my K-1 application. Someone mentioned that I should register with the US Embassy while I'm there. Will this prove anything? Any other tips? I will be staying with my fiancee and her family, so unfortunately there will be no hotel receipts. So I'm planning ahead to accumulate all the proof I can. Thanks for any help!

What kind of idiot says you should register with the embassy? Like they would really care. Good grief, where does this stuff come from?

Passport stamps, boarding passes from the flights are all you need. Additional recipts etc are good also. Photos of the two of you together. NO you do not need to hold a newspaper or pose in front of St. Sophias to prove you were in Kiev or Ukraine. NO ONE CARES. It does notmatter WHERE you meet, only that you do and you can provide palusible evidence to support your statements. If you say you met your fiancee in Kiev on April 5 and you have a plane ticket and passport stamp putting you at Kiev Boripol airport on that date and aphoto of you two together...YOU WIN!

For the petition I gave a two sentence description, ONE photo of us together in an unidentifiable place and copies of passport stamps and boarding passes. That is all.

VERMONT! I Reject Your Reality...and Substitute My Own!

You can register with the embassy without actually going to the embassy. In fact, you can register without actually leaving the US. All they do is record in their computers who you are, and where you're staying in the country. This is so they can contact you in the event of an emergency. It's actually a good idea to do this, but it doesn't prove you were ever in the country.

Like others have said, the time tested method is boarding passes and visa stamps.
