Hello everyone.

I just recently send packet III to the NVC. We are on a CR-1 process and I been cheking peoples timelines. It seems that K3 process(NOT LONGER AVAILBLE) used to take longer than CR-1 on NVC. Are there any evident differences between between K3 and CR-1 once they get to NVC.

thanks

Yes, the K3/I-129F petition is closed and that's that. The I-130 follows the process you'll see outlined in the GUIDES.

K3 wasn't processed by NVC but sent to the consulate. That was the time difference as it took awhile for CRs and IRs to be processed at NVC.

All history at this time.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Yes, NVC did processing on K3 cases but it required no participation by or correspondence with the petitioner or beneficiary. Usually processing time was a week or two, similar to what happens with K1 cases.
