Signature Question

Hello,

My wife has signed the G325a and other papers, using her new signature (with my last name) as it will appear on her Philippines passport. I just got these in the mail. I noticed that the signature is somewhat clear as to the last name, but is squiggly and doesn't spell out her entire 1st name. Do I need to have her redo this and write it out like a 2nd grader?

Is it her legal signature? If so, then no.

Hi Mike,

It is her legal signature...I am just concerned, because when I was previously divorced in Pennsylvania, my papers were rejected because I signed my legal signature and didn't write every letter perfectly like a grade school student.

So....are you absolutely certain?

My signature is similar, you really cannot make out my first name! I have always signed like that and it is consistent across the board. If that is your wife's signature it should be okay. I had no issues with mine.

Agreed. I think they are more concerned with the original signatures than what they actually look like. Goodness knows how many illegible signatures they see.
