AOS, Pictures matter!

hi everyone!

Just want to share our AOS approved interview !! and since we came across an AOS that was (apparently) denied due to lack of pictures together, we'd like to emphasize that it matters a lot because we were approved from that alone. The reason why we say this is, after the IO checked our pictures and was writing something on our file, i was preparing to show him our other supporting evidence such as bills, bank etc but he said, "thats enough to convince me so am going to approve you and just wait your greencard on the mail". ahh, that was too good to be true. 'Twas less than 15 minutes interview.

Btw, i read some AOS approved interview here that they get any approved AP or EAD but mine wasn't.The IO didn't get any documents from us.

Anway, to wrapped up this post. Here are the questions for future reference and it may help anyone.

Beneficiary:

What is your name?

When is your birthday?

Where do you live?

What is your SSN?

Do you know your husband's birthday?

Petitioner: (USC)

Where did you meet your wife?

When did you see her?

When did you visit her again?

Did you got engaged on that visit?

We're you married before?

Then he asked for any supporting evidence such as pictures or joint accounts...

Yiihhaa!! Bye USCIS till 2012...

Ops! he reminded us of the next step- the ROC.

..i may add, we brought with us 2 big albums (he only looked at one album) ...added captions and dates..not intended for AOS purposes but sheer wanting them to be neat. We travel locally whenever my husband can grasp a leave from work and i take tons of pictures each trip...therefore, i like them labeled for future reference...20 yrs down the road, we may not remember all our activities .. and thankfully, it came handy for our immigration journey. THe IO commented that we seem to be having fun...and asked too who organized and labeled them. i think it impressed him that there was time and effort spent on our pictures- making it all the more complelling of a solid relationship. just my 2 cents

Congratulations! We just got approved too. I strongly agree that pictures matter. The interviewer was very nice, cordial and polite. She just looked at our pictures, asked questions about when, where and how me and my husband knew each other. After that, she gave her approval. So I must say, pictures can substantiate your claim as husband and wife and it is a prima facie evidence that you are really living together as husband and wife.
