my fiance is pinay...philippino..but her mother's maiden name...part of her name is sanchez....obviously of hispanic origin...somewhere down the line...but who knows how far back...

will this cause a problem with the K1 visa process? politics aside of course.

i just submitted forms and did not as yet get a postal receipt notice.

Your fiancee's mother's naiden name (or origin of the name) will not cause any undue notice by USCIS or anyone else in the imigration process.

Most American's have a name somehere in their background which is different than an American name - many cross cultural marriages occur everyday - look at your situation.
