Today I received my wife's biometrics appointment letter today, but I got curious and went to check the case status of the I-485 online and it said they sent out an RFE 2 days ago. I'm guessing I will receive it in the mail in the next day or two but I have a strong feeling that the RFE is for not sending them an I-693 Medical, even though my wife did her medical overseas. What is the best and safest course of action to take? Would it be a good idea for her to just bring vaccination document in and do the whole medical over again?

If she had her medical less than a year before you started AOS then all you need to do is transcribe her vaccination record onto I693 form, which has to be done by a civil surgeon. So make an appt with one, and there are some who do it for cheap, like 30-50 dollars. IT should be a quick process and then send it in. If she's done her medical more than a year before AOS, then she has to get a new one.

The Visa Journey Guides have very clear instructions on what to do with the DS-3025 and the I-693.

Read them and follow them.

Good news is you already have a pretty darn good idea what the RFE is.

Take the vaccination records to an approved Civil Surgeon and get I-693 done and ready to go. I see your interview was January 2010 so there should be no reason to have that repeated.

If you want to play it safe, wait till you receive the RFE to see exactly what it says before doing something unnecessarily.
