Today we received the receipt for the I-751. It states that my wife's conditional residence status has been extended for 1 year.

Is this the normal routine just getting a 1 year extension?

Can someone explain to me what happens next? I just sent them $545 dollars for a 1 year extension, what are they (immigration)going to ask for in 1 more year? Thanks

No, this is 'normal' verbiage in a NOA-1 for a ROC case.

Is also 'normal' for this 1 year extension, as there is NO IDEA of exactly 'when' the 10 year card will be issued.

So, you gots some slush time - another year - which USCIS will use (we hope! ) to process the ROC case.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

This is standard practice.

Because you can not file to lift conditions until you're within 90-days of the current card's expiration date, it is likely that the card will expire before they (USCIS) gets to your case. This is why they automatically extend the status (it serves as temporary proof of legal presence while they process your case). Hang on to this; if you ever need to prove legal residency status, show this notice and the expired PR/Green Card.
