Dont worry sachinky...the wait is almost over...I know the feeling though. I felt the same way when Mhay was getting ready to have her interview. Now the wait is getting shorter to have her with me...next sunday cant come quick enough!

Wife just got her medicals done. She had an 8 AM appoinment at Appolo hospital in Chnnai. She was supposed to reach Chennai at 6AM by train but the train was delayed by 3 hours. Luckily she was able to call the hospital and let them know she was going to be late. They were very accomodating. They took the blood test and and she had to get two shots.........MMR and tetanus eventough she had tetanus shots 3 yeays ago. She will be able to collect the results torrow at 3PM.

One more hurdle out of the way

Vivek, best of luck!!!! will be watching eagerly, since my wife's interview is on June 10th at Chennai too. really glad to know her meds went well at Appollo - my wife's medical is on may 20th...btw, what hotel did she and your MIL stay in? any recommendations as to which is a good nearby place to stay at?

this is what I have so far... am I missing anything? anything I should add?

wow! i think you've got it covered! best of luck - I think u'll do just fine and get the visa! my only concern is that based on one other interview of a divorced woman with kids who got engaged to a single guy in delhi - her fiance got grilled on if his parents were accepting of their relationship, given that he had never been married, while she was divorced with children. just prep up amit well on that point. but given the total family acceptance and all, it may not be that much of an issue. just something to keep in back of your mind...

Yeh, no tie necessary, just a nice pair of slacks and a button front shirt. Dockers and a button up shortsleeve maybe?? I'd say definitely no jeans or t-shirts.

Thanks Hoboken. She picked up her medicals from Appolo today. So thats it friends, we are all set........... Just spoke to wife. She is reviewing all the documents one last time before her interview tomorrow morning India time. Hope to break the good news tonight

She stayed in a hotel called Gemini. Its diagonally opposite the consulate. Its nothing fancy but serves the purpose. They will be just walking over to the consulate for the interview.......... I am excited. Don't feel like going to work today :-)

She'll do just fine while i know you'll prob write a review, I for sure, will be bombarding you with all kinds of questions, as to what she got asked in the interview! i do plan on being there with my parents (cant attend interview cuz of space restrictions according to chennai consulate). the only thing that we're a little concerned about is entry into the consulate, as most of my wife's ids (pan card etc) are in her maiden name. the only thing she has with her married name is her passport, which would be at the vfs. she's planning on getting a driver's license with her married name, so she'll have that...
