The GOP's Waterloo get worse

Well, well, well. Seems that acting beats obstructing. The American people are warming up to the health care bill passed on Sunday. 50% of respondents were enthusiastic or pleased about the passage of the bill while 42% were angry or disappointed. Interesting that, albeit by a small margin, independents are more supportive of the passage of the bill. Prior to the bill's passage, the same pollster (Gallup) found that only 45% of respondents wanted the Representative to vote for the bill while 48% wanted their representative to vote against.

This trend should have the GOP worried. They're planning on running against a bill that gains in popularity even a day after it's passage. Good luck with the "Repeal The Bill" strategery.

Popular or not still doesn't change the constitutionality of the whole thing.

If the courts uphold it, there will be hell to pay.

I'm sure the judges are shaking in their boots. You think you're actually impressing anyone with your moronic threats? Newsflash: You don't.

Let's see how many people who prior to this bill didn't want insurance react when they receive a $2,250 penalty from the IRS for non-compliance.

I personally have nothing against a better health care system in the USA but nowhere in the Constitution does it provide for the Federal Government to mandate that citizens buy a product that they don't want.

Instead of the government taking over 1/6 of the American financial system why didn't they concentrate on doing a better job on the programs that they already run (ie: medicare, social security, etc...).

The simple fact of the Gallop poll that the OP provided stated that more than 1/2 of the American public was against passage of the health care bill. What happened to Congress representing their constituents wishes?

It's a $695 fine and if your income is between 100 to 400 percent of the poverty level, you will receive a subsidy on your premiums. No one will not be able to afford health insurance under this bill. The ones just above 400 percent poverty level whose employers aren't offering them health insurance are the ones that will have to sacrifice the most, but hopefully, the incentive for employers to provide health insurance will keep that percentage low.

Yeah, yeah. We've seen your collection and acknowledge that you have a small ####### to compensate for. But as they say, dogs that bark don't bite. Your infantile rants really do nothing but show what an immature hothead you are. You'll grow up eventually - even if your ####### might not.

You can ask anyone that knows me, I don't make promises that I don't keep.

"Hothead" you call it all you want. I will fight for my personal liberty any day of the week.

The ironic part of the healtcare bill is that health insurance premiums will actually increase for the vast majority of Americns and along with increased health care costs come a hike in income tax...

Didn't Mr. Obama say no tax increase for those making less than $250,000?

While insurance companies will now have to accept those with pre-existing conditions, what will happen when some of these insurance companies go out of business due to the exponentially increased insurance coverage payments for those people? Hmmm - with less insurance companies around and even less competition, I wonder if premiums will increase.............

Nearly half of Americans give a thumbs-up to Congress' passage of a healthcare reform bill last weekend, with 49% calling it "a good thing."

It's a start, but then again, half the people in the bar where they took the poll, like the smell of their own farts.

I see. You'll join the ranks of Timothy McVeigh and Andrew Joseph Stack III as the next domestic terrorist. If that's the career you want to pursue, I feel bad only for those that might unjustly suffer from your paranoia. Maybe you can have yourself checked out to avoid the loss of innocent lives. There are devices that can help remedy your condition.

Amusing. If it ever came down to something of the nature of means, innocent lives would not be at stake. Well, not by my hands anyway.
