I don't agree really. That is what it has become, but I think government is there to provide law and order first and foremost. Nothing is free. I am not sold on this health care bill, still. I am worried about it, still. The founding fathers wanted a less involved government in their lives after bad experiences. I don't however think the health care reform=socialism or communism. I am just a little iffy about it all, still. And I even have lots of relatives who currently don't have and can't afford insurance.

The government making demands of its people like this is not a matter of opinion. It's outright Tyranny and any politician who pushed this through should be removed from office by ANY means necessary.

I won't shut up and I have been working to fix the problem. Excellent!!! I commend you for it!! I pay for everything I get myself, and part of the problem is that a lot of people don't think they have to. They are the problem. I agree. There are many that do abuse the system indeed.

We have a representational democracy - meaning that we elect representatives to act on our behalf. They are accountable to us, the voters. President Obama and the Democrats are fulfilling one of their campaign promises - to reform health care. The people spoke in November 2008 and our representatives honored that. No piece of legislation will ever be unanimous, so unless you have a gripe over the constitutionality of this piece of legislation, you're just full of hot air.
