Thousands rally for immigration reform illegal alien amnesty in DC

WASHINGTON – Immigrant rights supporters from around the country are rallying for immigration reform on the National Mall.

People are waving American flags and holding signs with slogans in English and Spanish such as "Legalization yes, deportation no." About half an hour after the rally's scheduled 2 p.m. start, an area of about four square blocks on the mall was filled with people.

Organizers say tens of thousands of people have traveled from around the country for the march, which is sponsored by dozens of community, labor and faith groups.

Activists have been frustrated that they've had to wait for reform, despite President Barack Obama's assurances that he remains committed to changing immigration laws. They hope Sunday's march will re-energize the legislative effort.

I realized a while back that diversity for Latin Americans means themselves. Hence why they dominate over 70% of the United State's immigration system.

I did enjoy the picture with a Latin American demanding citizenship for farm workers. It takes a lot of nerve to take it upon yourself to enter a sovereign nation, depress wages, slum areas, use American taxpayer services for free, and then demand citizenship.

Obama backs plan to legalize illegals

President Obama gave a thumbs up Thursday to the outline of a plan to legalize illegal immigrants and create a flow of low-skilled foreign workers for the future, saying the immigration bill being worked on by a Republican and a Democrat is "promising."

In their broad blueprint, Sens. Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat, and Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Republican, call for illegal immigrants to be put on a path to citizenship, offer green cards to keep high-skilled foreign university graduates and would create a temporary program for low-skilled workers, with some also getting the chance to become citizens.

My satirical and snarky comment about race was mostly targeting the people on the Left that habitually harp about the racial makeup of conservative groups, organizations, issues, or statistics except when their own pet groups, organizations, issues, or statistics are involved. It happens so often that it is about time the shoe needs to fit the other foot. I also find it laughable when the same folks come on VJ with a straight face and whine that any enforcement of immigration laws unfairly and disproportionally targets Hispanics when it is quite obvious that the vast majority of the violators are Hispanic and that illegal immigration is largely a Hispanic problem.

Actually the 2006 US Census shows the Hispanic population at 14.8%. Since illegal immigration is largely a Hispanic phenomenon there is no way to discern how much of that percentage is legal or illegal or even if that number is accurate given that you are dealing with a population that encompases millions illegally in the USA that are not accounted for. What I find most disgusting in this debate is the lengths politicians (mostly on the Left) go through to use this population for their own political purposes. However GWB tried to use the illegal alien amnesty card and got nothing out of it. That is the why I find this big push to give access to voting citizenship to an undetermined and unlimited number of illegal foreigners through a mass amnesty so disgusting. American politics is dirty, devisive, and very partisan, but it is Americans that must decide our own destiny for better or worst for our own country. Using foreign nationals to tip the scales politically in favor of one party or another is inexcusable. That is why I find this latest push to use illegal aliens politically so unpalatable and offensive. I'm against cheap labor and cheap votes and this nonsense has got to stop. This race to the toilet does not benifit the vast majority of Americans.
