We are putting together our documents for EP in anticipation of the NOA2 approval and the case being moved to DOS for the visa application.

I have but a question and am wondering how people have addressed this issue: my original birth certificate from Italy is longer than the normal 8 1/2 by 11 and it's probably x 12 or so. It's not legal size but not letter size. As well, the translation work etc is done on that size. When we scan the document , at least on our scanner, the bottom part of the document sticks out so it doesn't scan the entire document. Thus, a small issue.

Would people suggest scanning the top half then bottom ? same holds true for the back page as these are two page documents (front/back)

I photocopied the page in two. I folded the part that would get cut off at the bottom and scanned it, then folded the top so that the bottom would scan, just make sure to send both pages and take the Original to the interview. I was suggested this by others OR you could take it to a professional place and get it scanned and minimized but I am unsure of where you could get that done.

I copied my top and bottom half to send. When I went for interview I had a copy made of the original as 1 page. I never had any problems.

you can do oversized photocopies or prints at places like kinkos. if you scan it first, then you can save a pdf and print it oversized.

or you can photocopy it to size it down to 11 x 8.5

this is prolly A4 size, right?

you can change the paper size of the scanner, prior to pushing the 'scan' button.

when you are IN scan mode, and are in 'preview' - change something to shift to A4 paper size.

Should be a feature to control of the scanner, whilst scanning .
