Looks good! Good luck!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Will it matter if I don't have a new I-864? My husband has NO access to a printer. I actually had to print, and mail him the forms, then get him to mail them back during the NVC phase...but he'll be back tomorrow I think. Longest year of my life. I want this to be over and done with! Hahaa

This list is helpful for me too. Thanks Bern! I'm heading to Montreal tomorrow - medical on Mon, interview on Thurs! SOOOO nervous!!!

I have a couple questions - is it OK to have US style passports for your medical? I just assumed that's what they would want, so I have 5 2x2 photos...3 for the medical (Dr. Seiban) and 2 for the interview. I hope that's OK - too late for me to change them!

And....is it a good idea to dress up for the interview? Like wear business casual or anything? I don't really have anything like that right now, so I'm hoping my lululemon clothes and a hoodie is OK (and running shoes!) or is that not a good idea? Obviously they wouldn't deny someone based on their clothes, I wouldn't think, but just checking! I think Wyatt's Torch said he was very well dressed. ;)

U wil see a bit of everything at the consulate, jeans to business attire. I just wore casual khaki's and a golf shirt.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Looks good Bern. Did you submit the tax returns for 2006 and 2007 to NVC as well?

No I didn't! But I have originals of his 2006, and 2007 returns. I only have a photo copy of his 2008 copy. NVC has all of the originals. I hope they don't ask me for too much updated financials. My husband will be home -tomorrow- hopefully.

And I'm going to wear my ''interview'' blouse, (I always wear it for job interviews) and my dress pants that are a foot too long. XD
